First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone that came out to the show last night. Attendance was a LOT higher than I thought it was going to be and everyone in the band was blown away by the size of the crowd last night. 250ish (and that's a conservative guess), people attended the show last night. We know this because there were only 200 programs made and RHA ran out well before the flow of people coming into the building stopped. I'd also like to thank RHA for taking a risk on a band that that's never played before and hosting us at their event, Sean Corbett for (despite a broken hand) still showed up to take some kickass shots of the band playing, Bill and Mike our sound guys, and Esteban Garcia for taking care of Andy's foot when he dropped an amp on it after the show...and broke it *facepalm*.
Despite the electronics not working at the show (when they were working just fine a few hours before at sound check.) it was a pretty decent first show, and I'm generally pleased with how things turned out. Of course, a couple of my guys and I sat down to watch the videos afterward and criticize our performance, but all in all there wasn't a whole lot.
I'll be posting the video and some of the better pictures from the event as soon as I finish going through all 400+ of them, a lot of which were audience-submitted.
In other news, as promised the album Bandages will be available for free download at some point today. Here's what's up though, I really wanted to get the BEST quality album mixing I could so I actually got the CD mastered a second time. I'll be uploading the first version today (and it sounds REALLY good), but despite having a package shipped priority, etc. I won't be able to upload the remastered version until (most likely) tomorrow. I apologize for the wait, and honestly the difference between the two probably won't be that big anyway, but I still wanted it remasteed just to be sure.
Thanks for helping make our first show a great one, and as soon as I get some homework out of the way, I'll be posting photos, editing video, etc.
Thanks again,
- Hudson E
